Elvis Rankin To Make His Dirt Midget Debut at Kern Raceway Park
Driving the Lil King Racing #54 Midget, Elvis Rankin will make his first start in the USAC Western Midget Series at Kern Raceway Park in Bakersfield on May 18th. Continuing his first season in the California based series, the 10 year old Evergreen Colorado racer will be driving under the direction of crew chief John Lomier.
“I am excited to race the dirt midget after having had an opportunity to work with Wally Pankratz” noted Elvis. Elvis made one previous start in a Junior Sprint at the 2016 Tulsa Shootout where we managed to get into the A Main.
The USAC Western Midgets series runs a combination of pavement and dirt dates - mostly in the Central Valley of California.
